My Mustang FotoFix: New Edge Edition

Everywhere I’ve turned lately, New Edge owners have been saying they’re not feeling the love. They’re not the most current generation of ponies any more, and lots of manufacturers are focusing on the S197′s for cool new parts. Unfortunately, I’m not the CEO of a huge manufacturing company, so I can’t do anything about the new parts. I do have a little pull on the blog, though, and I thought it was time to show the New Edges some love. So here are seven sweet ‘Stangs for you to enjoy.

All a Mustang ever needs to shine is sunlight. A little chrome never hurts, though.

Glad you appreciate the new edge ‘stangs, they are my favorite. However my favorite body style has to be Roush, for both New Edge and 5th gen’s. I’m surprised there wasn’t any pics of them.

i love the new edge but i my point of view between 1970 and 1999 there no mustangs that lived up to the name, you fox body owners sorry but its the truth my 65 289 could rip your 5.0
the new edge revived the mustang it needs more respect without it you would be driving a probe, taurus, or camaro

wow, it didn’t take long for people to ruin a perfectly good blog…….Anyways, as a New Edge owner, i think Ford did it right. crisp lines, aggressive stance, and good power for the time…..I like the new Mustangs, but they got way to big and heavy: one perk of a new edge or before.

lol the new edge was and is better than the new generation as far as racing is concerned, look at how much power the gt500 needed to run almost as fast as a termi. the 05 body was ok i liked it but i wouldn’t say it was better than the new edge, now the current body style I would say is better it has the right stance and aggressive looks. the 05 switch was similar to the the 94, it was fresh but something was missing now we have the 09 switch not drastic but just enough, history repeats itself.

I’ve driven Mustangs from every generation (except the Mustang II- sorry, not a real Mustang lol) and I love them all. They all have their individual strengths and weaknesses, but they all have their own appeal as well. I’d own one of every body style if I could!

I have an ’07 GT- I love the S197 body style its probably my favorite- but these rides are still sick! I have a lot of respect for the new edge mustangs, when they first came out i was a lot younger and I wanted one so f****in bad… But in my opinion it doesn’t matter what year, body style, or what you have under the hood of your pony, a fellow ‘stang owner is still a fellow ‘stang owner. It’s an unspoken brotherhood. Everyone I’ve met with mustang (so far) shares a mutual respect, whether they’re drivin a ’67 fastback or a 2010 Roush. So keep on shreddin tires- mustang owner for life!
