Alex Pappas’s 2006 GT
Alex’s GT started out stock with 8,000 miles on the odometer. Two years later, it has 34,000 miles on it, and Alex has installed an amazing array of parts. He’s done all the work except mounting his Nittos on the MRR GT-1 wheels. The GT sits on Koni Yellow adjustable shocks and struts, GT500 strut mounts, and Eibach lowering springs. A BMR adjustable Mustang panhard bar, billet lower control arms, and LCA relocation brackets contribute to the GT’s mean stance. Alex also installed Steeda adjustable upper control arms and front and rear sway bars.
To give his Mustang its custom look, Alex has a Kaenen 3″ cowl hood, a Roush front bumper, 2010 painted mirror covers, and a GT500 rear spoiler. He also went with a Stack Racing 9 bar black billet grille, tinted tail lights and 6,000K HID lights for his headlights and fog lights. His finishing touches are 1966 GT badges and a blacked out faux gas cap. To personalize the inside, Alex added a GT500 steering wheel and pedals, along with “GT” floor mats and a Pioneer Avic D3 Boyo backup camera.
All those mods are nice, but the performance parts are where things get interesting. Here’s what Alex did to make 505 RWHP and 468RWTQ at 11.2 PSI.
- Whipple H.O. 2.3L supercharger with 3.375″ pulley
- Thump_RRR Racking billet tensioner with 76mm pulley
- McLeod RST twin disc clutch
- JLT carbon fiber inlet elbow
- Borla Stinger axlebacks
- Pypes offroad h-pipe
- 4.10 Ford Racing gears
- MGW short-throw shifter
- GT500 Brembo brakes
