2014 Mustang Order Guides Released

A new new year, a new Mustang. 2014 Has a few changes in store for our beloved ponycar that include new paint options and appearance packages from Ford.

The S197 plans to go out in style as 2014 is the last year for the much loved 5th generation Mustang. With the 2015 redesign coming, this will be your last chance to pick up a brand new S197. Here’s the low-down on Ford’s new Mustang and what has changed from 2013, straight from Ford’s Mustang V6/GT and GT500 ordering guides.

2014 Mustang Changes

  • New Colors Added:
    • Oxford White
    • Ruby Red Metallic with Tinted Clearcoat
  • Colors Deleted:
    • Red Candy Metallic with Tinted Clearcoat
    • High Performance White
    • School Bus Yellow (Boss 302 exclusive)
  • Exterior Appearance Package 101A deleted
  • FP6 Appearance Package (541) Added:
    • Painted black outside mirror skull caps
    • Painted black decklid spoilder
    • Quarter window louvers
    • 18-inch painted black aluminum wheels
  • FP8 Appearance Package (542) Added:
    • Painted black outside mirror skull caps
    • Painted black decklid spoilder
    • Quarter window louvers
    • 19″ x 8.5″ bright machined aluminum wheel with painted black windows

2014 Shelby GT500 Changes

  • Heated seats now come standard (except with Recaro seats)
  • New Exterior Colors:
    • Oxford White
    • Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat

The base model V6 starts at just over $22k and the GT500 at just under $60k with quite a bit of options in-between the two. New parts for the 2014 Mustangs will begin to roll out this year, in conjunction with the release of the last S197s. Mustang enthusiasts and racers alike will also have the 2014 Saleen Mustang thrown into the mix as another great choice. I think the question now is not whether to buy a new Mustang, but which new Mustang would you buy?
