I guess I should introduce you to our new manual 2012 Mustang GT. We’ve named it Project Blackout, and if you’ve been following our build on our Facebook page, you probably know that we’re building it up in 4 Stages, from simple bolt-ons, to the ultimate street Mustang with more horsepower than you’d ever need!
The 2015 Mustang reveal is getting closer and there’s been a lot of hype from the Mustang community about the new model! J. Mays, Ford’s Creative Chief Officer, previously said the new gen model will be less retro and way more modern as to move the Mustang name forward. That has people creating their own renderings of what they think it will look like.
Check this out… a good customer dropped of their 2011 5.0L Mustang GT California Special, topped off with a Vortech Supercharger, for some custom tuning on the dyno from our team at Bama Performance. Mike Wilson, Bama lead calibrator, strapped down this blown 5.0L Ford Mustang to our dyno and let it rip! The results…
If you’ve been following our 2012 Boss 302, you know that we’ve been doing what many Boss owners dare to do… use the car for what it was built for! Most Mustang junkies will know that one of the coolest features on the car was the fact that it came with factory side-exit exhaust. We loved the idea… and when we added over 60 horsepower and 69 torque to our stock Boss with some upgrades, we were really sad to see it go. We had to do something about this!
We’ve always had a ton of respect for the troops that serve our country. We’ve been helping send care packages, hooking up our customers with a military discount and even donating proceeds from our annual car show to Homes for our Troops and the Wounded Warrior Project. As great as that is, sometimes it’s just nice to hook up customers who serve our country directly!

We dropped a brand new Accel Super Coil on Plug Kit into our 2011 Automatic Mustang GT to see what kind of horsepower gains were left on the table. Rated at over 412 horsepower, you really wouldn’t think that there’s a ton of room for improvement by adding affordable bolt-on performance mods (besides the basic CAI/Tuner/Exhaust). Our friends over at Accel found a way to add as much as 10HP and 9TQ to a 2011 and newer Mustang GT or V6 in less than an hour!
Are you ready to be jealous? There’s 9 of the sickest, streetable Mustangs in these videos, putting down an average of 800HP to the rear wheels! These aren’t just steroid-ed up Mustangs cruizing the street, these are the ones that put them to shame.
A few weeks back, Pete Epple of Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords dropped by to check out our untouched 2012 Boss 302! While he was here, we added a few modifications to help us make this thing just a little bit faster! After a round of mods and dyno tuning, we headed to the track to check out what it could do against our 2011 Automatic Mustang GT with similar mods. A few weeks back, we took a trip to Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, KY with the 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords Magazine crew to give them a taste of our Procharged 2011 V6 – currently holding the record for the fastest 2011 V6 Mustang in the world. Steve Turner, chief editor at 5.0, wanted to get some seat time to see exactly what the car could do! It was definitely an honor, and he had no problem strapping in and putting his foot to the floor!
Not too long ago, we received a dare from our customers on Facebook, YouTube and a few different Mustang enthusiast forums. The message was clear: we want to see you race your 2011 GT and your 2012 Boss 302 at the drag strip. The timing was perfect… we had two employees
beating their chests going back and forth about who the better driver is. It was time for them to “put up or shut up”, and shortly after, we headed to Cecil County Dragway for a grudge match!
