Finally. Fresh spy photos of the 2015 Mustang are starting to roll out, helping to confirm many of the strong rumors we’ve all been hearing over the past two years. These snap shots provided by Autospotters to Jalopnik show a current-day Mustang test mule hiding the guts of a 2015 Mustang. Chalk this up as Exhibit B of the 2015 IRS Mustang proof file as we’ve already caught photos of an IRS in a 2015 test mule in the past. Judging by the photos, it also looks like the guys at Ford might have a few more changes up their sleeve.
If you can’t wait for the 2015 Mustang to arrive, it’s safe to assume you have heard all the rumors, digested endless amounts of conflicting reports, studied spy photos and listened to educated opinions before coming to the conclusion that no one outside of Ford really knows what power plant the redesigned Mustang is going to have. Now it seems we finally have something to hand our hats on.
Some may say the 2015 Mustang is getting the dead horse treatment, but we just can’t stop wondering where Ford is headed with our beloved muscle car. And after all, sometimes it’s good to take what you have and reflect on where things are headed. With that said, it’s time for a status report for the 2015. We’ve all seen the existing 2015 Mustang renderings, concept photos, spy shots and mule cars hiding an IRS, but this is the best look at what the 2015 “should” look like, based on the most recent prototype photos shot by Jim Dunne.
With the upcoming release of the next generation Ford Mustang, spy photographers have been prowling the streets and popular testing areas, looking for any signs of a 2015 Mustang or mule car rolling around. Now, it looks like veteran spy photographer and automotive espionage extraordinaire Jim Dunne has captured a few distance photos of Ford’s new pony car.
You can be sure that the times are changing and with 50 solid years of Mustang production under Ford’s belt, a brand new logo has been presented to represent this massive milestone. Supposedly, an internal design duel was held before selecting the 50th anniversary, 2015 Mustang logo.
That’s right, according to Edmunds.com the next-generation S550 Mustang is poised to get a 4 cylinder after all. Love it or hate it, it looks like a leaner, more fuel-conscious Mustang is something we may have to get used to in the very near future.
Reports are coming in and new details regarding the 2015 Mustang have recently come to light. While some are nervous and do not accept change well, Ford is planning big things for the next Ford Mustang whether you like it or not. We are finding out more and more about the 2015 Mustang now known to be riding on the all-new “s550” platform and we, like everyone else, are getting antsy to see the finished product. Check out what Ford has already said about its next ponycar.
Could this be the next-gen ’15 Mustang front end?
What is this we spy? That would be a Ford Mustang obviously, but that front end seems to be hiding something completely different! The cover over the front end is not very Mustang-like at all, well, not yet anyway. The front end seems to have super slim rectangular headlights as well as one hell of a grille. That’s what the cover is showing us, anyway.
Earlier this year, we brought you a photo of what we thought could be the new ’15 Mustang hiding inside the S-197 shell. There were a few indications pointing toward the 2015 Ford Mustang being cleverly tested incognito. Well, another “photo” (above) has surfaced claiming to be a spy shot of the new Mustang (looks
a little photoshopped). We’re not convinced, but check out this next claim…
