AmericanMuscle isn’t a huge corporation made up of nameless, faceless people. We’re Mustang fans and we do as much as we can to support not just the Mustang community, but our local communities, too. Since our very beginning, we’ve sponsored a wide range of groups.
Donated To Date: $29,731
Supporting American troops is a cause that’s close to our heart. We’ve been donating to Homes for Our Troops for years at company picnics and events, and in 2009 we decided to host an annual car show to benefit HFOT. Our first show was a great success on a few fronts. Not only did we donate over $9,000 to HFOT, we had a chance to meet our neighbors and customers.
Through the hard work of our employees, vendors, and car show participants, our 2010 Charity Car Show raised $14,010 for our favorite cause.
Toys for Tots is another cause we love to support because AmericanMuscle employees are kids at heart. Thanks to Toys for Tots, hundreds of thousands of underprivileged children who wouldn’t otherwise have a great holiday are assisted by this U.S. Marine Corps program every year.
AM staffers Jim Hendry and Emily Wood led a Toys for Tots collection here at our corporate office in 2009. When all was said and done, we collected a huge truck full of toys for less fortunate children. Jim and Emily are working on the 2010 toy drive and are hoping to collect even more toys this year.
The Susan G. Komen 3 Day for the cure is an ambitious event where participants walk 60 miles in 3 days to raise money and breast cancer awareness. AmericanMuscle employees formed a team and spent months training and fundraising for the Philadelphia event. The team raised $7,853 with a lot of help from their co-workers, who love to support a good cause (especially when there’s a bake sale involved).
We also sponsor Little League, deck hockey, softball, and other sports teams throughout the year. Both the AmericanMuscle deck hockey and softball teams made the playoffs in the summer 2010 seasons!
