In the latest video from Ford, we get a good look at all the grip the new 2017 Raptor’s tires provide on, and especially, off-road!
2017 Raptor Tires – First Look
Getting grip and having control on a loose surface like sand can be incredibly difficult, unless you are rocking a 2017 Ford SVT Raptor with their all-new BFGoodrich T/A KO2 all-terrain tires. These tires were created specifically for the next generation Raptor and are the result of over a dozen different variations that ultimately lead to this compound.
These tires were developed right along side the new Raptor chassis to maximize the performance of the tires as well as the performance F-150. The KO2 tires have more tread than the previous Raptor’s T/A KO tires, a wider tread pattern (perfect for off-roading) and larger sidewalls. Without even having seen these new F-150 Tires in person yet, it looks like Ford hit a home-run with the development and execution.
What are your thoughts on the Raptor’s new rubber? Does it grip legendary status or will they leave us spinning wheels?
