Luckily for you, there are already a bunch of great power adders available on the market for your S550 Mustang. From turbochargers to superchargers and nitrous oxide kits, there are plenty of ways to make your 2015 Mustang one of the fastest around. The question is, which will you choose?


The S550 Mustang once again presented to the world a turbocharged 4-cylinder, that puts out more power than earlier V8s. Hellion’s 2015 Mustang GT Twin Turbo Kit was on of the first on the market for the sixth gen Mustang, and is still one of the most potent packages available. With the choice between 55mm and 62mm turbos, Hellion’s system is capable of delivering 500-1,200+ RWHP with a smooth, yet brutal power band.


Superchargers and Mustangs go together like peanut butter and jelly; as long as there have been Mustangs, there has been someone to throw a supercharger on one, and the 2015 is no different. When it comes to superchargers you have two main options, a roots style blower and a centrifugal style supercharger. Centrifugal superchargers, function more like a turbo in how the power hits and are belt driven off of the front of your engine.

Picking The Perfect Setup For You

With so many options for how you can boost your 2015 Mustang, it can be tough to pick the right one for you. Ultimately, picking the right power adder comes down to what you want to do with your Mustang. If you’re looking for nothing more than a straight line race car, than a Nitrous Setup is for you. With low cost of entry and a high power yield, Nitrous is an easy way to go fast, quickly.

If you want to go fast in quarter mile and also have some fun on the street, that a roots style blower or turbocharger setup is the route for you. A turbocharged V8 will deliver you ungodly amounts of power, while being the least parasitic to the rest of your powertrain. A roots blower will deliver raw, unforgiving power from the very bottom of your RPM range making it a beast of a setup for racing.

If you are looking for big, yet not ludicrous power, than a centrifugal setup is the route for you. With power that you ease into, hitting hard in the mid-range and higher RPMs, a centri blower will feel right at home on a track or on the street. Regardless, no matter how you look at it you can’t go wrong with any type of boost!


  1. I have a naturally aspirated s550 2015 GT that makes 480 rear wheel HP @ 7000 rpm. The tune is a BAMA Flash tuner with the race tune installed on the computer. An Airaid cold air intake and a resonator delete X-pipe, and Roush axel back single outlet mufflers with big 4″ diameter Roush logo chrome tip outlets. A mixture of Shell 93 octane and NOS fuel additive with nitro methane mixed with STP jet fuel.
    And a gallon of nitro methane caster oil mix with a 5 gallon tank of Shell gas rounds out the power adders. The GT hit’s with explosive power when you smash the loud peddle to the carpet. Best 0-60 run so far with wheels smoking in first and second and squirrely in third gear alike 0-60 in 4.8 and quarter mile time in 12.88 seconds. The GT has the 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

    3:55 rear end gears with limited slip independent rear end.I have yet to lose a race with it at the drag strip and on the street also. If I could get my 0-60 times down with a run without tire spin I bet I would be into the 12.6’s all day for sure. I love my GT and it’s by far the best mustang I have ever owned.


    1. Someone hit and totaled my 2015 GT while parked on the curb in front of my home. Lucky me he had good insurance. Hit so hard it totaled his 3/4 ton GMC van also. So bought another GT but could not get another 15 so I had to order a 2016 automatic shadow black 3.55 rear end and cloth seats. And perforated leather in the door panel’s, console steering wheel and shifter dash both sides down around the radio.
      I ordered the pony package that come with P-255-R40-19″ wheels and Pirelli 8.5″ all season tires, up-graded seats, and premium floor matts with the mustang running on the back of the seat just under the head rest and same on the floor matt’s. for $989.00 you can’t buy wheels and rim’s for that price let alone bright grey stitching on the seat’s, with premium cloth seat’s, and electric power everything. The paint is called shadow black, black seat’s and black and chrome wheels. The picture is the totaled 2015 I do not have any pic’s of my 2016 yet. but the 16 GT look’s a lot better than this pick. The next to last pic is not my 2016 but just to show you the wheels that are very similar to my 2016 GT.
