UPDATE: 2015 Mustang RTR Spec 5 Pics

As the Las Vegas SEMA show draws closer and closer the global reveal date for the 2015 Mustang RTR Spec II comes closer with it. AmericanMuscle is here to bring you the first glimpse of the brand new 2015 RTR Mustang and our immediate first impression is WOW.

We have been following this Mustang closely since August, when the RTR was revealed at the 2014 AmericanMuscle Car Show. Just yesterday we got to see some spy footage of the 2015 RTR Mustang tandem drifting, and now we have these amazing teaser shots.

On 11/3/14, the Spec II Mustang RTR will be unveiled and we can not wait to see this thing in person. This S550 RTR Mustang will be coming to authorized Ford dealers in January, but until then, take a moment to appreciate this brand new generation of Mustang that is Ready To Rock.

Be sure to check back frequently for updates on the Mustang RTR!

  1. i took a 15 gt home the other day put 110 miles on it and it is absolutely hands down the best all around mustang ever to date. nite and day my friends so get with the new wave, its high tech smooth and the European looks blends Ferrari to mustang incredible car go drive one

  2. I think we basically see a division between those who like European sports cars with rounded edges and high tech lines…and fans of American-made muscle cars that harken back to the glory days.

My own personal opinion is that in an attempt to attract Europeans and American fans of Jaguar, Maserati & BMW, Ford has tried to make the Mustang look more like one of those brands, while keeping hints of the classic Mustang…and dropped the ball.

As a result, the new mustang, without significant aftermarket upgrades, looks “neither here nor there.” The lines just don’t come together right…and the looks alienate the traditional Mustang base.

Maybe the mechanical refinements are great. But that’s only half of the sell. To me, in this case, the lipstick IS the pig. I had my choice between a 2015 GT and a 2014 GT…and the 2015 lost me right out of the gate because of the looks. So, I went with the 2014 GT. The 2014 is just so incredibly beautiful; to me, it’s the perfect modern incarnation of a true American classic. It’s a keeper!

The 2015, on the other hand, reminds me of when in 1975, Ford made the Mustang look like a glorified Pinto. 40 years later, I think they made it look like a glorified Fusion.

    1. Bingo….the 15 looks like a tuner car with a fusion front with the hood vents. The rear is definitely the best thing about it. The problem is Ive seen the shoulders/haunches already on the camaro so this is neither new or groundbreaking.

      1. How did I know you were gonna be here sucking dick lmafo.. Hey how is youre imaginary 1000hp mustang doing lol have you been racing it lately in your dreams haahaa what an idiot lmafo
