Changing the final gear ratio in your Mustang really turns your Stang into the red-light-ripper it was meant to be. The gearing ratio dictates how much work or how many revolutions your engine needs to make to getup to certain speeds. A lot of Mustangs come standard with a gear ratio 3.31 or 3.55, unless you opted for the track package of 3.73. By switching to something like a 4.10 ratio you can drastically improve acceleration times as opposed to a 3.31 or 3.55 ratio; the higher the number, the faster the acceleration.
The 4.10 gear ratio from Ford Racing comes with everything you will need to install these gears into your car and deliver you great performance on the street or on the strip, while not ruining drive-ability.
