Stage 2 – Project Coyote (2014 GT)

It’s no secret the 2014 GT has a hefty advantage when it comes to suspension and handling ability over the ’06 GT, but there is still plenty of room for improvement. With the ’06 destined for a blower, Justin and his crew knew they would probably be going up against some serious competition, so they threw on every bolt-on suspension mod that would offer an advantage. With horsepower numbers approaching the 400 rear wheel mark, it was also time for a brake upgrade. Power Stop’s drilled and slotted rotor kit was exactly what the doctor ordered.

Stage 2 – Project Grabber Boost (2006 GT)

After six or seven years blasting down PA roads and battling it out at the track, the ’06 GT was in need of a serious suspension overhaul if it wanted to have a shot at running down the ’14 Coyote. After a number of mods to both the front and rear suspension, we had what we thought was a formidable opponent–one worthy of taking on even the more heavily modded ’11+ GTs, but braking was still an issue. Slotted rotors and ceramic pads were the solution Dave’s team was looking for, and after stage 2, they’re in a prime spot to take down Justin and his 2014 GT.
