While most of us are struggling with New Year’s resolutions and making plans for springtime, January is the month that AmericanMuscle will be bringing you brand new project car footage from our 2014 GT, 2006 GT and Convertible Fox Body builds. AmericanMuscle is also now carrying new parts like Kooks axleback exhausts and MMD’s ducktail spoiler for 2005-2009 Mustangs. Oh, and let’s not forget about all the 2015 Mustang news and information that Ford has divulged of late.
This month, AmericanMuscle will finally be bringing you the match-up you’ve been waiting for: Justin’s Grabber Blue 2014 Coyote 5.0 vs. Dave’s 2006 Grabber Blue GT. The two teams are building their cars for head-to-head drag strip competition throughout the different build stages. Be set for some unexpected twists when we unleash these cars later in the month.
If you’ve got a 2005-2009 Mustang, MMD has a new way to throw some retro styling on your ride. Their all-new ducktail spoiler pays homage to the 1967-1969 Shelby Mustangs and adds an aggressive and clean look to the rear of your Mustang. As always, you can order your ducktail spoiler pre-painted to match your Mustang.
Release of The 2015 Ford Mustang
If you were following the blog or AmericanMuscle on facebook or Twitter, you’d have witnessed us release video of the 2015 Mustang in NYC early in the AM, before it aired on Good Morning America just hours later. If you happened to have missed the action the first time around, you can still catch up on all the details and key information by checking out our complete 2015 Mustang coverage and recap. There’s a lot to expect form the 6th rendition of the Ford Mustang and we’ll be the first Mustang Authority to bring you all the information, reviews and facts about the new Mustang that true enthusiasts value. Look out for a future 2015 Project car coming your way.
New Kooks Exhaust Parts, 2011+ Koni Shocks & Struts in Stock
Koni now has 2011+ specific shocks and struts that are a direct upgrade for the S197’s stock components. These Koni STR. Ts are the first direct shock and strut upgrade designed to work specifically with the 2011+ Mustangs.
Kooks has also rolled out some new parts of their own with their new axleback and catback exhaust systems. All their newest stuff comes with the comfort of the past–same great quality and construction you’ve come to expect from Kooks headers with the sound and performance an aftermarket catback or axleback brings to the table.
After a supercharger and a few track runs later we had a proven street monster. Project Foxbody has entered Stage 4 of its build and is already well into the 11 second quarter mile mark. Check out the Stage 4 video or read the blog for details on the build and you’ll see what the old girl has left in her and what we might be modding next.
