2013 Shelby GT100 S/C Mustang - Race Ready

Watch out COPO, the Mustang Shelby 1000 is back and better than before! Once again, Shelby American unveils the most powerful production car in existence – the 2013 Shelby GT 1000, equipped with a menacing, 1,200 horsepower producing motor.

Just last year during this time at the New York Auto Show, the folks at Shelby unveiled their latest and greatest creation for the Mustang’s 50th anniversary. This year, the track version 2013 Shelby 1000 S/C is said to generate a whopping 1,200 horsepower from a 5.8-L V8 used in the brand new GT500s. Pretty impressive, right? What’s even more impressive is the fact that you can roll up to your closest gas station and fill her up on pump gas!

As you know, the 5.8-liter V8 used for the GT500s gives them a healthy 662-hp from the factory. Not bad, and with a great base to start with, the GT1000’s engine was stripped down to the block itself and then was built from the ground up using stronger components to get the maximum potential out of the V8. Add big brakes, a performance cooling package and an adjustable suspension, and they’ve clearly created a monster.

Better yet, this American bad boy can outrun super cars that cost at least three times as much as the GT1000. Shelby American only plans to produce 100 cars and will cost a hefty $154,995, plus the cost of a brand new 2013 GT500. Each one produced will have a specific number and will be added to the official Shelby registry. All in all, the new Shelby is no joke. Carry on, Camaro fan boys.

So, what do you think of the new 2013 Shelby 1000 S/C?

"You're telling me it's got four wheels, two seats and goes faster than the speed limit? Good, I'm driving."

  1. “$154,995, plus the cost of a brand new 2013 GT500”

Wow for 200K i bet you could build one hell of a camaro too, or you could buy a much nicer car, or 4 nice cars that you could actually drive everyday.

  2. OVER $220,000 for a Mustang? That’s funny… now I know to laugh at anyone I ever see in one… Even the $70,000 for the GT500 is laughable… Mustangs are $20,000 cars for high school kids.

    1. Guess I’m a 50 yr old highschool kid!! L.M.A.O.C.!!!😂 Because this “13” supersnakes a freaking rush!😎

  3. Labillyboy can suck one! There is a reason mustangs hit 50 years! keep driving your fiat! If I had it I would buy that stang with a smile on my face!

  4. You can’t keep claiming most powerful production car when 2012 Venom GT 1350hp is a production car using a LS engine found in Full production camaros

GT500 doesn’t even have a Ford block, it’s made by Honsel in germany

also 2011 ZL1 made 750hp, so 2013 GT500 claim of being the most powerful was also a LIE!

BTW, GT500 engine can’t be rebuilt even once
