  1. I’m having a hard time launching my 2011 GT automatic. How are you coming off the line? One foot on brake, other on gas, or using right foot only from brake to throttle? Are you starting off in first gear (1), and shifting ont o 2 and 3 at redline and letting D do the rest of the job when 3 is redlined? Or are you coming off the line in D and letting the automatic shift by itself? So far I’ve just been using D, but it seems that when I lose traction, the automatic does strange stuff before finally hooking up.

Just what IS your (clearly sucessful) technique for drag racing with the automatic?

  2. I have a Bama 93 octane tune and installed the Ford Racing 3.73 gears, all I can say is WOW. With the 235/50/18s, I get NO traction coming off the line through 2nd gear. I do not get traction until 3rd gear. I run constant 13s @ 111 mph. I believe with 275s on the rear, I could hit mid 12s. At a 40mph stomp, my car stays even with the 2012 Challenger SRT8, at 90-95, I start pulling away. Not bad for a car 1/2 the price!!!
