AmericanMuscle and 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords Magazine have teamed up to find the fastest and baddest TRULY streetable Mustangs in the world! Are you ready to throw down?

How Are We Going To Find It?

  • Horsepower Competition (full fledged dyno showdown)
  • Drag Race (battle of the quarter mile)
  • Engineering (gotta be put together the right way)
  • Fit & Finish (to be the king, you’ll need show AND go)
  • Ride & Drive (how does your ‘Stang hold up on the street?)
  • Popular Vote (stacking up the competition)

The King of the Street showdown is going to take place Thurs-Fri Sep 30th – Oct 1st. This will be held at the NMRA World Finals in Bowling Green, KY. For those not invited to participate with their cars, you can watch the madness unfold at Beech Bend Raceway Park!

  1. If this competition was only a couple months later!! My motor isn’t going to be finished for that =( but hoping for 700-800 and in the 900s on N20


      1. Its an 05 gt and i was running ported factory heads, comp stage 4 cams, twin fuelpumps and a roush tvs kit on 12 pounds with 13 degrees timing and 11.5 a/f and it was making 500 rwhp until i bent a connecting rod and destoryed a piston haha. Im gonna be running a forged stroker rotating assembly with a .30 over punch, keeping the factory ported heads with a valve job and the comp stage 3 blower cams. then im gonna run more timing and probably 20 psi in the the tvs unitl i swap the blower out. but ill have to get a beefier trans before i do that haha


      2. Yea i cant wait!! the only thing really holding me back is that comp is backed up and im still waiting on my cams, its been almost 2 months now. but yea i built the rear in it a bit ago. its got 4.10s, an eaton posi and moser axles.


  2. i have a feeling that there are going to be alot of terminators and hopped up fox bodies there, man this sounds like so much fun, yall are in a league of your own with that kinda power,way too much for me to handle, ill stay with my 300hp GT thank you lol


  3. I should be ready by then with my stang. It’s a 2000 Mustang GT with a new block and forged stroker kit at 8.5:1 compression, patriot stage 3 heads and 1mm over bore valves, p51 intake, t56 tranny with modified input shaft, 31 spline auburn locker rear end, aluminum drive shaft, and… oh yeah, a 61mm TWIN TURBO SYSTEM running 14 PSI. I have waited a loooong time for this setup to be completed and it will be ready by the end of this week 🙂 I am hoping to be over the 1000 HP mark at 18-20 PSI.
