VIDEOS: The New 2013 Shelby GT500 is Ridiculous!

This is by far the most powerful GT500 ever produced! We gathered some of the top 2013 GT500 videos around so that you can get a better idea of what this Z06-killer can do!

While these cars are hitting the streets, it’s starting to circulate that these are actually UNDER-rated from the factory. Our good friend Steve Turner over at 5.0 Mustangs & Super Fords Magazine already tested one out at 609RWHP, putting the engine horsepower rating closer to 700HP! Think that’s crazy? Check out this test:

The guys over at Motor Trend didn’t waste any time! They took a brand new 2013 Shelby GT500 and threw it on the dyno and then on the track to put the 200 MPH and 660HP claims to the test. Do the results back up what our friends at 5.0 had to say? You’ll have to watch below:

And finally, the new 2013 Shelby GT500 with supercharged 5.8L engine had to be put to the test in a real street scenario! What’s the best way to do that? I don’t know… have a 2013 Ford Police Interceptor chase after it!

     looked like I’d rather have the interceptor instead, the mustang only hit the gas and the cop’s had to hit the brake’s instead of running over the old nag!!!

    You would think, with 650 hp that Shelby would put those police cars in the dust – unless those were 650hp police cars also …

    The driver of the Shelby should be shot or at least tazed for spinning through the gravel and rocks…   THAT deserves a good beating!

    So where do I buy a Taurus Interceptor?  That thing handled way better than the Cobra.  Only time the Cobra actually shined was toward the end on the open straight.  …and that poor, poor Charger.  LOL

    It’s. No discussion about the car I love ford mustang and proud of it. I haven’t drivin the 2013 but just watching everything about the 2013 Shelby gt500 is amazing then any other car in the world. I own a 2011 mustang v6 with 305 HP, I love it. But when my time comes to get another mustang, its going to be, the 2013 Shelby Gt500.

    After reading the info and watching a lot of videos of the the new GT500, I am so impressed with the new Shelby that, yes, I would love to have a new Shelby. This would replaced the 1969 Mustang fastback 390 I lost in Hurricane Katrina. The wife says that all of my other projects would have to go, including my Superduty. Tough decision. But to have the best Ford has to offer and in tribute to Carroll Shelby, It would love to grace my garage with a new GT500.
