This guy has spent over three decades living and breathing everything Mustang, and he can’t even purchase one straight from the factory in his country. Though he’s an entire ocean away, the same passions and interests that fuel the Mustang spirit here in the states are burning red hot in garages and mechanics shops in Europe, too.
Despite the Mustang never being offered for sale by Ford in Europe, that did not stop Ralf Wurm from buying one at age 18. Like many Mustang enthusiasts, Ralf was hooked the second he got behind the wheel of a thoroughbred piece of American muscle. It was the sound, the unique stye and sheer power that brought Ralf–like many of us–into this community, never to return to the liking of mundane automobiles that day-in and day-out scurry down the road, never to catch a second look. A Mustang was something special, and for Ralf, it became his life’s calling.
For the last 30 year’s Ralf has been driving, restoring and helping other Germans purchase Mustangs. Hes a guru who unleashes his personally restored 1969 Shelby GT500 fastback on the fast, winding roads of his town typically tamed only by the likes of German sports cars.
After all the hard work and dedication, Ford is finally rewarding Ralf with the chance to purchase a Mustang in the same fashion we here in the states do. Dealer lots in Europe will be stocking the 2015 Mustang, and you can bet Ralf will have one.
