The Next Generation of American V8 Muscle

Wow. I’m not quite sure there are words that can describe the 50th anniversary SVT Mustang that’s coming, but I’ll do my best. Let’s start with “pure, unfiltered muscle.” The sound emanating from this beast is the reason many of us have such an obsession with American v8 muscle cars. It’s what draws many new faces to the scene and keeps the old-timers coming back for more. If this is what Detroit has planned for the 2015 SVT GT350 / Cobra, then sign me up.

What normally can only be achieved with aftermarket Mustang exhausts now seems to be a factory feature for 2015. The quad-tipped SVT exhaust on this car chimes a melody that should prove itself as an effective deterrent to those pesky Hondas buzzing around looking for a race. Ford definitely upped the intimation factor for the S550 with this offering. Now, let’s just hope the keep it that way and concentrate on finding an exact body style every Mustang enthusiast will love. There have been some great sounding v8s over the years, and it looks like that trend is going to continue into 2015.

And for those who haven’t heard–yes, the 2015 Mustang GT will still have a V8 under the hood as well. And yes, that too, sounds awesome.

How would you describe the 2015 SVT Mustang’s exhaust note?
