Turbos are great, I really don’t know why you would put him down for that. Twin Turbos would be even better. Personally I like nitrous but I guess different forms of forced induction are rice to you. Someone needs to do their homework or broaden their horizon

True horsepower comes from motor alone I have a 92 hatchback with a Chevy 383 stroker motor. All Forged and lightweight. 13 to 1 compression. 410 gears and im pushin 500hp to rear wheels. And it is also street legal.

Don’t get angry just because you can’t afford a supercharger or a turbo for your car. Besides, Turbo’s aren’t only found on riced out honda civics. Aston Martins, Porsches, Lamborghini’s, Ferrari’s. Hell, BMW’s, Cadillacs. You name it, they probably have a turbocharged model.

Personally i woudl start with an 03-04 SVT Cobra, add longtubes, full exhaust, supercharger cams, Kenne Bell Mamoth 3.4 with a 2.81 pulley, upgraded ignition, MAF, and fuel injectors, Short throw Shifter, 4.30 gears, aluminum driveshaft, and royal purple for all the fluids, i dont have the car now but i will build it once i get my enlistment bonus from uncle sam

If I was going to build a ten second car, I would do with with people don’t see often. My goal would be to make a 05 to 09 mustang V6, yes a v6, into a ten second car. It might sound hard, but it deffinitally isn’t impossible. I currently have a 2005 mustang v6 and even though id love to turn it into a 10 second car, I just don’t have the money. My car has full frpp exhaust with pypes violator mufflers, bbk headers, k&n cai and 70mm bbk throttle body. Now if I was going to ten seconds, I would get the SSM cams and heads, a 150 shot, 4:10 gears with a posi, the full suspension done up, a bama race tune, and then decide which SUPERCHARGER, or a twin turbo, and throw that baby under the hood, and id also swap the rear end to the gt 8.8 rear. for one, I feel like this could push 10 seconds without a problem. Id love to do this but can’t so its just a fun thing to think about!

I would start with a bama tuner with trick flow top end kit 4.10 gears eaton posi drag radials of course AM black deep dish 17×10.5s for rear…then add a vortech or kenne bell supercharger….for sound SLP Loudmouths…for trans a 2500 stall

If I were to build a 10 second car, I would have to choose my 2011 mustang v6 manual. I would start out with pulling the motor and having a strong forged or billet crank put in with increased stroke, and add stronger I-beam rods and forged lower compression pistons. I would add procharger’s new supercharger kit to the engine bay and dial it to about 18psi. I would then move on to the exhaust and bolt on some bbk long tube headers and off road x-pipe connected to a custom exhaust with borla xr-1 mufflers in front of the axle. I would have a custom billet aluminum flywheel made and twin disc clutch to go with it as well as stronger aluminum driveshaft and 4.30 gears in the rear with a detroit locker. After the powertrain and drivetrain where altered I would proceed to the suspension and swap out the upper and lower control arms along with adjustable rear shocks and stronger panhard bar. Moving to the front suspension I would put in a lightweight k member and coil over struts along with lightweight control arms. Then I would swap out the stock wheels for some light weight weld racing wheels and drag radials in the back and skinnies up front. And if all that wont get me in the 10s I would add a 125 shot of nitrous and that should do it, and still get almost 30mpg!!!

My 96 wont get to 10 secs any time soon. So ill assume that I woke up and found a 2011 GT 5.0 (grabber blue, interrior upgrade, brembo kit, HID, Security package, 3.73s.

BOSS intake swap with the JLT CAI BAMA TUNING, 90mm TB.
Offroad X with the magnaflow competition full catback.
Lowering springs, beefed control arms, MT Slicks.
Short shift kit, GT500 Clutch mechanism swap.

That alone would likely get me to low 11s but probabally not into mid 10s. Its what i want but if i had to go faster… I would do a 5-6lb Vortech kit. (silenced gear kit)

Upgrade to larger throttle body
Upgrade headers to flow including Jet Hot coating
Upgrade my suspension by lowering it with a Steeda lowering package
Must have Supercharger accessory kit
Upgrade cooling system
Install larger rear brakes (Wilwood)
Purchase sticky 10″ dot approved tire
Build a stronger chassis to withstand the lauches at the dragway!

I would take my 06 GT and yank out the block, completely rebuild it with a 3V big bore stroker rotating assembly, add XFI VSR cam 127150, Sean Hyland Motorsports full race cnc cylinder heads, kenne bell 2.8H kit, 3.73 gears, aluminum rad, aluminum driveshaft, m/t tires, ceramic coated headers, and a custom dynotune. Add some suspension improvements and that should get it there in ten seconds.

I too have a 06 GT, But I have a better method…
Yank the stock motor, get a 5.4 SVT motor in the 2011 Super Snake.
Change the Cam, Pistons, Valves, Rockers, to Forged
Bore, Port, and Polished to just within NOS (175 shot) handling capability.
Change out the fuel rail and fuel tank to 90 PSI with upgraded ignition, and spark plugs. Relocate the battery to the trunk.
Change out the tranny to a 6 speed, Hurst short-throw.
New 4.10 rear gears, new limited slip
New Axle for the Torque
New drive line, take off ABS, TCS, and Overdrive systems.
Gauge cluster replace with light weight racing gauges.
Add ZEX NOS bottle kit, with a carbon fibre bottle and hoses.
Add a camber adjustment plates
Upgrade to a lowered, adjustable coil-over springs
Replace the Pan hard bar, the Strut braces, both upper and lower control arms.
Short Headers, No Cats, Borla Aggressive exhaust
Upgrade to 6 piston caliper brakes both front and back (gotta grab be able to grab the reins and them pony’s stop)
Change out the window glass to a light weight, scratch resistant polymer.
Cold Air intake with carbon-fibre tubing into the Roush stage 3 super charger and the largest available Throttle Body.
Custom Dyno-tuned to run on 108 Octane
Take out the AC,replace all stock carpet with light weight speaker carpet.
Carbon-fibre fenders, hood, and trunk deck. Take out the spare,jack (that is what AAA is for any how!)
Then I would “Skin” the car in vinyl and wax it so smooth you can’t leave anything sitting on top of it.
Upgrade the head lights to HID,
the tail lights (and all other lighting to LED’s)
Pull the air bags out
And set of 9”x20” Z rated tires with aluminium wheels.

But then again what do I know? That might not work at all…

First I would start off with the engine

dyno Test and tune w/ SCT TSX tuner and I would say it’s a 10s car gaurenteed

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY OF ALL, I WOULD GET IT ALL FROM AMERICAN MUSCLE!!!

I didn’t read the article but the headline. I think I could go 10sec. 1/4 mile. It would take some work. I have the X-pipe. shortie 2 1/4″? headers and air intaake. But i do still have all original partss for a 1993 Mustang Cobra with 24,000 original miles. Don’t think I want to take it any further. Too much work to get back to factory to sell if needed. Plus I think in Indy 10 sec. requires a roll cage. Never in that car. I love what American Muscle does and stands for, maybe in my 1991 GT just for sh!ts and giggles.

start out with a split port essex v6 (99-04). bore it out to 4.2L, procharge it, port, polish, forge internals, take it to 600rwhp, and put 3.73-4.10 gears with a built tranny.

5.4L swapped into an SN95 chassis would be awesome! I’ve seen Lightning Motor swapped in with an aftermarket Whipple charger to be more low profile. Fits under a 3″ Cowl hood!

Prochargers new +175hp intercooled supercharger for the 3.7 mustang. Along with the tune and intake, throw in some 4.10 gears, new headers, an x-pipe, and the magnaflow catbacks im pretty sure you would be pushing 10.

I would start with a Black 2011 Shelby Gt500, Black with Ghosted stripes. slap a 4.2L liquid cooled kenne bell supercharger on that mug. crank it to about 23psi. All forged internals. double fuel pump. 205lb injectors. tune by evolution performance. upgraded fly wheel, stage 3 spec clutch, 4.10′s. pushin power through 315/45/18 nitto nt05 drag ridials. it will either smash the 10 sec mark or look good while detonating about the 1/8 mile mark.

Start with my 3v 4.6 V8 and replace the entire exhaust. Kooks long tube headers uncatted X and bassani exhaust. Then replace redo the suspension with the grip in a box drag pack. The I would get the R2300 roush supercharger kit. I would boost at 8-10 pounds in order to prevent from haing to forge teh internals. i would Change the rims to teh Gt500 wheels and replace those with high performance summer tires. I may put on some NT555R to close the gap on the 10 second mark. That should put you in teh 10 second range easy. It should also keep the entire build under 10k and be street driveable.

I would start by ordering some parts from American Muscle to make my 2011 GT/cs even more crazy. However, I tried on Friday and the guy told me to call back, since I didn’t have a part number. I’m driving down the road, he’s in front of a pc. So, I called someone else, not AM, they placed the order and sent an email conformation. They had no problem finding the Mustang part number. I have shopped AM in the past, and have been very happy would suggest to any Mustang onwer. However, if you tell me to call back ever again, it will be the last time.

Already in the works of building up my ’94 5.0. With an unlimited amount of money there is a massive amount I would do to this car. However, for interests sake I guess I can go over what I would do.
First would have to start with a fresh 4-bolt main BOSS 302 block, bore it out to a 306 and pick up a fully forged 331 stroker kit. 1.7 Roller Rocker, AFR 165 Heads ported and polished, (unsure of intake), 30# fuel injectors, high flow fuel rails, MSD 6al, distributor, C&L 75mm mass air meter, BBK 75mm throttle body, K&N air filter, TKO600 trans, aluminum drive shaft, Spec stage 3 Clutch, shorty headers, o/r x-pipe, borla cat-back, 3.73 rear, ebachi lowering springs, adjustable shocks and struts, and a 4-bank performance chip. I think that’s it, like I said all the money possible this is what I would do, but the budget build I am on now will have much fewer purchases. Nice to dream though, thanks American Muscle.

I’d start by swapping a forged 5.4 short block into my 1996 GT, slap on some 03-04 or GT heads. 4.10s, 67MM turbo. Coilovers, tubular K member, full length sub frame connectors, new LCAs and UCAs, Cobra/Brembo brakes. T-56 transmission, cyro treated, and then I would be good.

I would take a 90 fox, for powerplant I would do an 05-10 4.6 stroked to a 5.0 with cams, electric water pump, long tube headers and a 2.9 whipple with an auto 3k stall. Then I would do lowering springs and adjustable shocks with a 4 link, 31 spline axles with 4.56 gears and slicks. thats my combo for one nasty 10 sec fox

I would buy the newest mustang and add a supercharger to it and add all the bolt ons possible add 4.10 and the parts the american muscle used for there build then i would load my kids in the stang and go down the track.
