If you’ve been following along throughout our 2011 V6 Mustang project, you know we left off with a respectable 12.47 1/4 mile pass at the end of Stage 4. That was a really good time for what we had into the car up until that point. It was even the fastest recorded 11-12 V6 pass for quite some time until Central Florida Motorsports and another privately owned 2011 V6 both pulled amazing times of 12.2 and 12.34, sending us back to the grind!
We hit the garage hard, with some help from Circle D Performance, PSI Performance, Procharger and a good set of slicks & skinny’s, we wanted 11′s… BADLY!
Every few months, we get the urge to build a new Mustang! Once we finish up a project, it’s not long after that we start getting anxious to rip apart and rebuild again. We’ve built a 10-second Automatic 2011 GT, 11-second Automatic 2011 V6 and even an Automatic 2005 GT with Nitrous. It’s about time that we did a manual car, but what color should it be?
This past weekend, 611 Mustangs from all over the country came out to Delaware County Community College in Media, PA to help us celebrate customer appreciation and donate to a great cause, Wounded Warriors Project. We were ready to make this thing happen rain or shine with potential thunderstorms threatening our event! Did AmericanMuscle.com make it worth the trip?
So far, our 2011 V6 has completely transformed from a moderately responsive and dumbed-down V6 slushbox into a hard and fast-shifting beast that not only is good in a straight line, but kept up in a professional road-course environment. We could have called it quits and retired the car very respectably at Stage 3, right? That’s just not how we roll at AmericanMuscle…
Ok, so check out this crazy concept! This conversion concept is very interesting indeed, especially being a mash-up between two rivals, our very own Ford Mustang and our competitor and fellow American muscle car, the Chevy Camaro.
