Last week, we saw the baddest Mustangs in the country throw down on the King of the Street dyno at Holley HQ in Bowling Green, KY. The results? Over 7000 horsepower measured from these 8-Second cars; and we’ve got video to prove it!
5.0 Mustangs and Super Fords magazine editors Mike Johnson, Steve Turner and KJ Jones would help us break these cars down to find out who really deserves the title – King of the Street. The contest was separated into 6 areas for them to judge:
- Ride & Drive
- Horsepower
- Fit & Finish
- Engineering
- Drag Race
- Popular Vote
Some of these cars were putting down over 900-1100 horsepower to the tires! While the dyno portion of the contest was a huge factor (and bragging rights for 2010!), the guys from 5.0 Magazine went over these cars with a fine-tooth comb before judging other portions. Most importantly, these cars were taken through the Streets of Bowling green to find out just how streetable they really were!
After some interviews, photographs and a trip to Beech Bend Raceway for some seat-time at the track, the King of the Street would emerge! Check out the videos:
