About Chris Rose

This hobby became serious when I went to work for a local speed shop. Within a few years, I helped build the business into a nation-wide name that focused on modifying and tuning late-model Mustangs. We equipped ourselves with a chassis dyno, lifts, mechanics and that is where I gained my SCT and Dynojet Certifications. I spent 6-7 years there, building and custom tuning in the best and most passionate automotive industry; the Mustang aftermarket. Since the move to AmericanMuscle in April of 2010, I have purchased my second Mustang – a Grabber Orange 2007 GT (supercharger coming soon)! My Google+ Profile

I’m having a hard time launching my 2011 GT automatic. How are you coming off the line? One foot on brake, other on gas, or using right foot only from brake to throttle? Are you starting off in first gear (1), and shifting ont o 2 and 3 at redline and letting D do the rest of the job when 3 is redlined? Or are you coming off the line in D and letting the automatic shift by itself? So far I’ve just been using D, but it seems that when I lose traction, the automatic does strange stuff before finally hooking up.

Just what IS your (clearly sucessful) technique for drag racing with the automatic?
