2011 Mustang Commercial Debuts

Ford is understandably determined to showcase their 2011 V6 Mustang as much as possible. As our friend Jonathan over at mustangs.about.com mentioned in a post, the first 2011 Mustang commercials debuted recently. In his words:

“The spot focuses on Ford’s new V6 Mustang screaming through urban streets in true muscle car fashion. No doubt, it’s pretty awesome to say the least. The big message? “31 MPG and 305 Horsepower.” Not bad, not bad at all”

Not bad, indeed. There has been a fierce rivalry between GT and V6 owners for years, and this much-anticipated Mustang will certainly help even the score. Watch it now!

About AMStanger

AMStanger started life as Emily Wood. She fell in love with the automotive industry, and the Mustang in particular, at her first job working as a cashier at a mom and pop auto store. Since then, she’s held just about every job in the retail automotive field. Though she’s never been formally trained as a mechanic, she’s never shied away from taking something apart or working on her own car. She likes to defy stereotypes and get her hands dirty, but she does get tired of being called ‘dude’ all the time. In her time, AMStanger/Emily has served as a parts slinger at one of the biggest auto parts retailers in the country, worked as a service writer at another industry giant, and has served as an installer and a commercial specialist when needed. She spends most of her time on several large Mustang forums, and is pretty sure she has the best job in the world.

Fords really making a good step forward with the new 2011s, if it weren’t for the 5.0 I’d truely consider the new sixxers. I’d love to see one of these with full bolt ons and a cam, bet you’d be hitting low 13s maybe 12s.Go Ford!

V-6 is a waist of time and money.

      • Tim

how is it a waist of time for the v6 if its pushing the same output of last years v8?

      • Billy

your post is a WASTE of time

        • Flyingbadger

Ha ha! Nice Billy. LOL! Owned! Use spell checkl next time fellas!
Besides a V6 with 300 horses is pretty good indeed. I guess I will have to get that Kenne Bell SC for my GT before i get “pawnd” by a 2011 V6 or go buy a 2011 5.0

          • Bruce

Just buy a Chevy, you’ll never lose to a Rustang.

            He said “checkl” lol.

I wish I could get my hands on the new 2011 v6, i don’t know how it could be a WASTE of money.

I think the new 2011 Mustang will be good competion for the 05-09 Mustang GT in terms of stock horsepower. Also, the new mustang will be an excellent competions against those who slow Camaros.

  • Tim

How is the new 6 cylinder a waist of time when its pushing the same output power as last years v8?

    • tim

      He said “waist’

  • Matt

I think the new 2011 V-6 Mustang is a solid addition to Ford’s line up. The fact that it pushes as much horsepower as the 05-09 Mustangs is very impressive, whats even more impressive is that it gets 31 mpg on the highway. Would I buy one? Probably not. The only reason why I wouldn’t is I think Mustangs should have that mean V-8 growl behind them. Other than that I think it is a great car. Now I have to start upgrading my 07 GT so I don’t get smoked by the new Six.
